Spelton Stuart, VA. | Unidentified White 7400 was paused briefly before the driver exited out of the A & P warehouse on Springfield's North end in late 1974. It was strange, A & P spent a whole bunch of $$ to pave and fence in their Springfield warehouse. Then they shut it down and then whole complex was torn down all within a few years. | his was the best I could do to salvage this washed out picture of a Chevrolet Titan 90 that had pulled into the Valley View Diner along U.S. 5 in W. Springfield sometime in late fall 1974. |

Springfield during Jan.1976. | One morning during summer 1974 this was the scene at the Springfield farmers market that i caught as I was making my almost daily drive "cruisin around" looking for trucks to take pictures of. From what I have heard Mr. Dewitt also was at least part owner of the Rockingham Motor Speedway. Perhaps there is a former L.G. Dewitt driver out there who could provide additional info. |

Not sure of the make or model, but it always sat there and for some reason I neglected to ever get a picture of it. I guess it was one of those "couldn't see the forest for the trees" deals from being too young to realize what a goldmine of a shot that would have been. |
