Minute Maid has an orange/grapefruit juice plant near Ft Pierce. I caught one of their White Road Bosses coming off the Ft Piece exit of Florida's Turnpike in early 1981.	can't make out the lettering on the cab door of this R Mack, but do know I shot it in early 1975 from all the road grime that it's covered with at the Springfield farmer's market.	Used to see Rhodes bake N serve frozen dough products around Springfield quite often when I was taking pictures as a teenager. This KW was waiting for a receiving door to become available at the Pioneer Valley Refrigerated Warehouse in early 1975.

I found this photo in my spare pictures cigar box of Maxim City of Westfield Engine 2 in front of the driveway of the house I grew up in on Meadowbrook Lane sometime in summer 1974. The fire dept. responded to a pile of burning yard debris next door. That's Dad's 74 Chevy Impala in the foreground.	A classic good looking KW leased to Wilson Freight's steel division parked in the back of the Marquis Truck stop along U.S. 5 in W. Springfield in summer 1974.	Younkin Transfer from I'm not sure where had these two super looking IH Transtar's at Pioneer Valley Ref. Warehouse sometime in spring 1975.

A not all that common SBFA KW Conv. leased on with Eagle Motor Lines from Birmingham, AL carrying sections of high tension powerline transmission towers stopped in front of the Redwood Restaurant on U.S. 202 N. of Westfield in summer 1974.	This looks to possibly be an ex: Smith's Transfer Corp. F Mack that an O/O has leased on with Eastern Refrigerated Transport from Harrisonburg, VA. He has it backed into a receiving dock at the former A & P Warehouse on Springfield's N. end during fall1974.	Unidentified KWCOE taken in W. Springfield in summer 1974.

The lettering on this Pete taken in downtown Springfield in 1974 appears to read R.L. Spelton Stuart, VA.	Unidentified White 7400 was paused briefly before the driver exited out of the A & P warehouse on Springfield's North end in late 1974. It was strange, A & P spent a whole bunch of $$ to pave and fence in their Springfield warehouse. Then they shut it down and then whole complex was torn down all within a few years.	his was the best I could do to salvage this washed out picture of a Chevrolet Titan 90 that had pulled into the Valley View Diner along U.S. 5 in W. Springfield sometime in late fall 1974.

Not sure of what all the cab door lettering spells out on this good looking blue F model Mack at the Springfield farmers market in late 1974.	Roland Caron Potatoes from Maine was at the Springfield farmers market in late 1974--early 1975.	Here's one super looking KW for CA based Frontier Marketing Co-op that was parked on the side road next to that LTL Motel in W. Springfield early one evening during summer 1974. Love those classic colors!!

Herr's Motor Express from Quarryville, PA picking up some tires from a W. Springfield tire dealer in early 1975.	Imperial Van Lines from Torrance, CA had a very colorful paint scheme for it's day. This White Freightliner was parked on a downtown Springfield street in summer 1974.	Here's a scene at the Springfield farmer's market sometime in late 1974.

Bob Huff Jr. of Ft Pierce, FL operated this clean looking IH 4300 back in early 1981 when I found him stopped along this county road N. of Ft Pierce.	O/O leased to Dallas & Mavis stopped at the Valley View Diner along U.S. 5 & I-91 in W. Springfield in fall 1974.	Bright yellow White Freightliner leased on with Jay Lines from Amarillo, TX unloading AT Hampden Beef in downtown Springfield in late fall/early winter 1974.

An F Model Mack leased to Reading, PA based Burgmeyer Brothers stopped AT the A & W Root Beer restaurant on U.S. 202 in Westfield back in early spring 1975. Burgmeyer would occasionally haul these concrete pipes out of a plant that manufactured them in Westfield.	Schanno of Minnesota waiting to unload at Lewis Beef across the street from the Springfield farmers market in summer 1974.	The driver of this green GMC 9500 from somewhere in Maine didn't bat an eyelash when I ran over to take a photo of his rig while he was shaving at the E.B. Ludlow service plaza on the Mass Pike in 1974.

Here's a green Mack Western COE that had pulled into a Texaco gas station near Exit 3 of the Mass Pike sometime in summer 1974. The name on the cab door appears to read Carpener, but I can't quite make it out.	H & H Poultry out of Delaware (I believe) with this clean GMC Astro waiting to unload at the old A & P warehouse on Springfield's North end in fall 1974.	H.C. West & Son's from Birdsnest, VA at the Springfield farmers market in summer 1974.

Midwest Coast Transport, Inc. from Soiux Falls, SD offloading at the Springfield farmers market during summer 1974.	Mobile home toting IH Emeryville at the Mass 10 Truck Stop on U.S. 20 in Jan. 1976.

Nice and shiny IH Transtar for Chandler Trucking even though it was still early in 1975 when I shot it parked along MA Route 147 in W. Springfield.	J & L Trucking, Inc. was leased to some outfit whose lettering I can't make out on the lower side of the sleeper box. The IH 4300 was stopped on W.B. U.S. 20 in W. Springfield in early 1975 near the motel that all the LTL fleets stayed at.	Seems like i've sent this Associated Transport picture before..Let me look through the back vintage pages before you post it Hank.. I did work on the color so if nothing else it will look better than the one that may be already posted.

Double bunker KW leased to International Transport at the Marquis Truck Stop on U.S. 5 in W. Springfield in summer of 1974. I might have also done the same for the IT KW come to think of it..	Martin Transit don't know where from was backed into the docks of the former Associated Transport terminal on MA Route 147 in W. Springfield during Jan.1976.	One morning during summer 1974 this was the scene at the Springfield farmers market that i caught as I was making my almost daily drive "cruisin around" looking for trucks to take pictures of. Life was so simple for me back then that it's hard to really imagine life being so carefree looking back from where my life is nowadays.

O/O leased to T-CEX (Texas Continental Express) at Lewis Beef across from the Springfield farmers market also in early spring 1975.	L.G. Dewitt out of Ellerbe, NC was a longtime East Coast reefer fleet. Mr Dewitt I believe also acquired Textile Motor Lines and ran both fleets for awhile. From what I have heard Mr. Dewitt also was at least part owner of the Rockingham Motor Speedway. Perhaps there is a former L.G. Dewitt driver out there who could provide additional info.

Here's a White Road Boss (1st version) that was owned by H & W Motor Lines from Holyoke, MA that had stopped briefly along W.B. U.S. 20 on the East side of Westfield back in summer 1974.	An interesting White 7400.. G.B.C., Inc. from Morristown, TN operated this no frills White 7400 pulling this Imperial Morristown Upolstered Furniture van. G.B.C. was a regular around the greater Springfield area when I was taking pictures. This one was layed over during summer 1974 in one of the many motels found along U.S. 5 in W. Springfield.	Bendix and their fleet operation division Bendix Trucking Services out of Indiana came to Westfield on a weekly basis from what I remember. This Transtar was parked across from the entrance to Exit 3 of the Mass Pike in summer 1974.

An unidentified orange Pete 359 that looks to have many miles behind it was at the Springfield Farmers Market when I found it in fall 1974.	TCEX-Texas Continental Express was waiting for a door to open up to unload at Lewis Beef across from the Springfield Farmers Market in early 1975.	An original IH Transtar all dressed up in Global Van Lines livery at the ARCO fuel stop across the street from Marquis Texaco on U.S. 5 in W. Springfield in summer 1974. In the background was a real old truck that belonged to Gloth Transfer of Springfield. Not sure of the make or model, but it always sat there and for some reason I neglected to ever get a picture of it. I guess it was one of those "couldn't see the forest for the trees" deals from being too young to realize what a goldmine of a shot that would have been.

Englund Equipment Co. from the Los Angeles area and Nogales, AZ was being spotted back to his unloading door at the Springfield farmers market in summer 1974.	Midwest Haulers, Inc. tractor #24 from Toledo, OH was parked near Hampden Beef in Springfield early in 1975.Ê They were not a reefer fleet so perhaps they were delivering some kind of other cargo to the beef distributor in early 1975.	I took a few pictures at the Springfield area NAVL agent in Chicopee in early 1975 as they ran several F Mack's in their fleet.

O/O leased to CRC (Caravan Refrigerated Cargo) from Dallas in Springfield summer 1974.	An original IH Transtar model that the O/O had leased to Transamerican Freight Lines reefer division who had stopped on N.B. U.S. 5 almost across from the Marquis Texaco in W. Springfield during summer 1974.	Unidentifield White Freightliner from St Louis (note scribbling on cab door) with an AJF Leasing freight box at the Valley View Diner along U.S. 5 in W. Springfield sometime in late 1974.

O/O leased on with Colonial Refrigerated Transportation from Birmingham, AL offloading at Lewis Beef Co. in Springfield in summer 1974.	M. Valihora Motor Transportation from Detroit, MI was at the Westfield Hojo's in summer 1974. I wonder how that dent got on the tractor cab below the windshield?	West Motor Freight Pete from Boyertown, PA. Not sure if he was loading or unloading, but he was at Old Colony Envelope in dowtown Westfield in summer 1974.

I visited the State Line Truck Stop twice in 1974 which was located on the Mass/NY line along the Mass Pike/NY Thruway. This picture was from my first visit and the KW on the right belonged to Red Wing Fine Foods from NY State not Red Wing shoes from Minnesota.	CRST reefer div. IH Transtar turning around by the Springfield farmer's market in summer 1974.	EBCO used to deliver caskets to this old storage building in downtown Westfield right across the Westfield River from the Boston to Albany mainline tracks. I shot this 7400 White in late fall 1973 at the Westfield Hojo's lot. For some unknown reason the lower half got whited out.

GBC Morristown, TN got these White Road Commanders to replace their White 7400's in 1974. This almost new one was in W. Springfield while the driver was eating at the Valley View Diner along U.S. 5 & I-91.	This White Freightliner leased to Eagle Motor Lines was layed over at a motel along U.S. 202 North of Westfield in summer 1974. Note outside L. rear tandem tire is missing.	These two unidentified Transtar's at the Valley View Diner in W. Springfield during summer 1974 were running together I assume as both are hooked to basically the same type of Great Dane freight boxes.

I still remember getting excited when I saw this beautiful Pete from Salinas, CA backed into a door at the former Pioneer Valley Refrigerated Warehouse in Springfield in fall 1974.	Stateline Fruit Distributing, Co. from California (I believe) at the motel all the LTL fleets used where U.S. 5 & U.S. 20 meet in W. Springfield in summer 1974.	A really sharp looking White Freightliner either leased to or owned by Miller Transfer & Rigging from Ohio taken near Holyoke, MA in summer 1974.
