Bekins and Mayflowers "bedbuggers" layed over for the weekend at Terminal Stations during 1976. An IH Transtar for Trails Trucking from San Jose, CA at Terminal Stations. A couple of "decks" taken at the ARCO Truckadero on CA 99 and Mack Rd S. side of Sacramento in April 1976.
Unidentified Freightliner livestock hauler taken at Terminal Stations along I-80 at Cordelia, CA I caught this orange Nu-Car Carrier Ford from Byrn Mawr, PA coming off the Ft Pierce exit of Florida's Turnpike back in early 1981. Most of Nu-Car's rigs were blue and white but they had some that were painted orange and white. Can any truck buffs supply the answer to their two distinct color schemes? Thanks. Here's several brand new combines That these 3 O/O's leased to Warren Transport out of Iowa were bringing from the Midwest in late 1976 to I'm guessing the Port of Oakland for export across the Pacific Ocean somewhere. Looks like an ex: IML White Freightliner at Terminal Stations sometime in 1976.
Paramount Movers, Inc. from Dallas, TX at Travis AFB, CA on a cloudy Feb. 1977 day Chevron Peterbilt taken during fall 1975 at Terminal Stations. This sharp Pete with transfer dump was taken near the Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, CA during fall 1975.

Here's a snazzy looking Diamond Reo Daycab that this O/O leased to Branch Motor Express from NYC who was delivering a load of structural steel to hardware distribution center that was being built in summer 1973 on the N. side of Westfield, MA. The placard taped to the door of this Dodge COE appears to read Standard Motor Freight. Not sure if that was the same Standard out of Pittsburgh, PA before Hall's acquired them. This was taken during the summer of 1974 at a towing lot in Westfield, MA near the Mass Pike. This unidentified early IH Transtar model was shot in early 1974 along U.S. 5 in W. Springield, MA. Something tells me it hauled dairy products but the company name eludes me.

O/O leased on with CRST, Cedar Rapids in downtown Springfield, MA summer 1974. Hammermill Paper from Erie, PA. Diamond Reo #22 was about to turn onto the Mass Pike Exit 3 entrance from from U.S. 202 in Westfield early in 1973. I took it from on my bicycle just before i got my driver's learner's permit. Midwest Emery Freight System, Chicago. Taken early 1974 at the Marquis Texaco on U.S. 5 in W. Springfield, MA.
Wooster Express, Inc. from Hartford, CT and an M & M Transportation IH Loadstar city P & D unit behind them at a business along Union Street in W. Springfield, MA early in 1974. Wooster was a neat fleet in and a common sight around Southern New England in it's hey day. This sharp but unidentified black Mack was stopped across the street from the Mass 10 Truck Stop in 1974. Matuzsko Farms from North Amherst, MA ran a pretty classy fleet hauling ag related freight back before they became a T/L general commodities fleet. The driver of this Diamond T was eating at the Redwood Restaurant on U.S. 202 N. or Westfield in 1974.
Here come's Herr's Motor Express, Inc. from Quarryville, PA exiting out of the Exit 3 ramp of the Mass Pike sometime in 1974. This here KW was pulling out of the Mass Pike Exit 4 (I-91 & U.S. 5) tollbooth in W. Springfield during summer 1974. Newman Produce Co. from what looks like Ararat, VA at the Springfield farmer's market in early 1974.
KW COE for O/O R.G. something? Jr. from New Haven, VT at the same place as the Herr's on a cloudy day before all the snow melted in 1974. R.B. Humphreys Produce from New Hartford, NY a long time reefer fleet shot along with numerous other pictures I took at the Courtesy House 76 during a winter break trip to Florida with my parents in April 1974. An unidentified produce hauler at Courtesy House, April 1974 Colonial Packing from Boston, MA ran a clorful yellow fleet of single axle U model Mack's West of of Boston across the Mass Pike, I never could find one stopped so I shot this "Eastbounder" between Exit's 3 & 4 in 1974 while driving Mom's 1970 VW bug.
Decato Bros. from NH operated a nice fleet of Diamond Reo COE's & conventionals that delivered building materials around New England. This was taken on U.S. 20 in downtown W. Springfield in 1974. Lester C Newton Trucking from Seaford, DE ran and an exceptionally sharp fleet with their classic Hiway Freezer markings. Pioneer Valley Ref. Warehouse in Springfield's North end was a magnet for reefer rigs. This was sometime in 1974 on one of my after school truck picture taking sorties. A sharp fuel jobber from Vermont dieseling up at Marquis Truck Stop on U.S. 5 W. Springfield during late fall 1974. Another very familiar and colorful East Coast fleet. Mrs. Smith's Pie Co. out of Pottstown, PA ran IH COE's for years painted in their traditional bright yellow. Here's another 1974 vintage at Pioneer Valley Ref. Warehouse. NAVL delivering to O'Connor Lumber Co. on U.S. 202 N. side of Westfield early 1974.
Pioneer Plastics Corp from Auburn, Maine offloading produce at the Springfield farmer's market in 1974. I believe they back hauled produce after delivering their company products down South. Tony's Pizza from Salina, KS was the big name in frozen pizza during the 70's. This Pete COE was dropping a fresh shipment off at the local Tony's distributorship on U.S. 202 N. of Westfield back in Feb. 1975. I put alot of miles on this ole girl, 5 times from one coast to t'huther. I couldn't resist to shoot it next to this still older GMC from Vallejo, CA in 1976 that use to come to Travis AFB.
Hennis Freight Lines from Winston Salem, NC early spring 1974 at the "L.T.L." motel where U.S. 5 & U.S. 20 meet in W. Springfield. Not sure if this was a company or an O/O rig pulling for J.B. Montgomery from Denver, CO. At any rate he was offloading beef at Hampden Beef Co. in downtown Springfield, MA during summer 1974. Monson Chemicals, Inc. Monson, MA stopped at the Redwood Restaurant on U.S. 202 N. of Westfield in late 1973.
KW leased on to Spector Freight System's Special commodities div. delivering a load of aluminum or steel to Sterling Radiator in downtown Westfield, MA in early 1974. Hammary Furniture from NC always ran new equipment up to New England when I was growing up. This Transtar II was dieseling up at The Mass 10 "Dump" as it was known in Auburn, MA on U.S. 20 & MA Route 12 during summer 1974.
