I shot this O-N-C Transtar at the Muffin Treat Restaurant along I-80 near Fairfield, CA in 1978.	The lineup of F Macks from late 1982 are Ryder System tractors leased by Flowers Bakery shortly after they took over the Dandee Bakery in downtown Ft Pierce, FL.	Garrett Freightlines Mack Cruiseliner COE on a day trip that I took parked at a casino right off I-80 in Reno, NV when I lived in Davis, CA in 1980.

White Road Commander & Diamond Reo COE (both unidentified) were shot in Apr 1978 at the Cordelia, CA Terminal Stations Texaco along I-80.	Inco Express, Inc. Freightliner COE & Jimmy Dean IH Transtar were taken in June 1978 at Woodland, CA	The Applegate Drayage & Rainbo Baking Co. IH's were also shot in Apr 1978 at a Fairfield, CA exit area of I-80.

Three "bedbuggers" were shot at the 49er 76 Auto/Truckstop N. of Sacramento in 1978.	The West Coast Truck Lines, Eugene, OR was shot at Terminal Stations Texaco also in 1978.	KW W-900 Conv. belongs to Sorensen Company from Fresno, CA and was also shot on the same day in Woodland, CA in June 1978.

K.A.T. Mack COE was also taken at Terminal Stations. A lot of my CA pictures were there as it was a busy stop and only about 15 mi. from where I was stationed at from Sept of 75--June of 79.	IH 4200 for United Van Lines taken at the Terminal Stations Texaco along I-80 in Cordelia, CA in late 1975.	Wonder Bread drom equipped F/L COE and Mack Cruiseliner COE were shot at the Travis AFB, CA Commissary unloading area in 1976.

This Pete COE belonged to Bothen Corporation from some town in Northern NJ and I caught him coming off the Mass Pike Westfield exit onto U.S. 202 in 1972. Lucky Stores IH Transtar with twins taken at the Muffin Treat Restaurant along I-80 near Fairfield, CA in 1976. To the left of the Lucky tractor is my old 1972 Chevy C-10 pickup.

Unidentified GMC Astro taken at Terminal Stations in 1975.	San Francisco Examiner GMC was taken in Fairfield, CA in Feb 1977. That model GMC was a rather neat looking truck and kind of reminds me of a Corvair in a COE version!! H & E Schaeffer from Phoenix, AZ pulling a Shamrock Fisheries reefer was shot in West Springfield, MA. in 1974.	Unidentified Freightliner, location unknown	R Model Mack for Fort Edward Express out of Ft Edward, NY pulling the Flintkote Cement bulker was shot at the Valentine Transit Mix Concrete plant in West Springfield, MA in 1974.

R.M. Ormes Trans. Mayflower from Reading, MA was shot in front of the Country Court Motel on U.S. 202 N. of Westfield, MA in 1974. (There is also an Ormes Mayflower KW COE I shot on page 20 of my link). The little white cottage type building in the background was my Dad's business office across from O'Connor Lumber Co. He sold garages and cottages which was his final job before he retired in 1978.	Diamond Reo and empty flatbed was my last picture I took just before I left for U.S. Air Force basic training in June 1975. It might be too blurry to post, but I shot it at a motel near my house along U.S. 202 N. of Westfield, MA There doesn't appear to be a name on the tractor. R Model Mack for Gleason Transportation, Inc. a milk hauler from Brattleboro, VT. I shot it during the summer of 1974 at a small truckstop right on the MA/NY border along I-90. I can't recall the name of the truck stop, but a tornado hit the place in 1972 or 73 and scattered semi's like matchbox toys and killed 4 truckers if my memory serves me right. I came across two of my very first 6-8 truck pictures I took in the early summer of 1971 with my very first camera, a brand new Kodak Pocket 126. I cut these way down to make em fit on this scrap page, but after scanning and cropping they turned out half way decent considering how small they are glued onto the page. Both were shot at the end of my street I grew up on, Meadowbrook Lane N. of Westfield, MA which emptied into U.S. 202 & MA Route 10 about 1 1/2 mi.N. of I-90 (the Massachusetts Turnpike).

Yellow Kenworth	Schwerman White	Brockway COE belongs to an outfit called Regional from Hartford, CT and was shot at the West Springfield, MA Thermo King dealership in 1974.

H & E Schaeffer KW COE I shot in 1972 in Westfield, MA	Old Dominion IH Transtar possibly trip leased to Star was shot in 1973 on U.S. 202 N. of Westfield, MA navigating around an accident scene.	TIME-DC KW was taken at the Ludlow, MA Turnpike Service Plaza in 1974.

A view of the long ago closed Marquis Texaco Truck Stop along U.S. 5 and just S. of the Mass Pike in West Springfield, MA. I shot it while home on leave from the Air Force in 1976 for "historical purposes". That aqua green KW on the lot belongs to H & E Schaeffer out of Phoenix, AZ.	Signal Delivery/Sears "Piker" was heading East on the Mass Pike as I was getting off @ the West Springfield exit. Most of Signal's equipment was GMC's so this was a rare find in it's time.	GMC Astro for EMCO Industries was taken in 1974 at the Howard Johnson's I cooked at in high school by Exit 3 of the Mass Pike.

C-F (looks like # 10-482) W.bound on the Mass Pike between Exits 4 & 3 from the backseat of my Dad's car during the winter of 1973-74.	Roy Bros. from Billerica, MA was a long time tanker fleet in New England, mostly chemicals from what I remember. This was taken in 1972 at an industrial park in Westfield, MA	Cooper Jarrett with a leased U model Mack tractors was at their West Springfield, MA terminal in 1974

This "mix n match" Spector/St Johnsbury I found right down the road from St J's big West Springfield, MA terminal in 1974. That was the only time I ever saw those two fleets together.	Midwestern Distribution out of Ft Scott, KS was a very common sight where I grew up. They were all White Freightliner's, but almost every cab had a different paint scheme/colors. Can't remember exactly where I shot it back home.	Metropolitan was a fuel oil distributor out of Glastonbury, CT and I believe they were previously known as Hamden Oil because they both had the same colors. This was a brand new GMC General shot about 1977 in Springfield, MA

White Freightliner with flatbed is for a private fleet called Evans and was shot t the Westfield, MA Howard Johnson's in 1973. I shot alot of photos at that Hojo's because it had a big parking lot and was the only motel by the Mass Pike Westfield exit.	O/O leased to Dallas & Mavis Forwarding Co. of South Bend, IN I took at a diner that pulled in alot of truck traffic on U.S. 5 & I-91 in West Springfiled, MA in 1974.	This truck Junkyard scene was taken in West Sacramento, CA in Mar. 1976.

KW COE was for Frontier Marketing from CA. Something tells me it was Artesia, CA.	ALPO Pet Foods Mack from Allentown, PA at a motel along U.S. 5 in West Springfield, MA in 1974. Before I-91 was complete through Springfield area U.S. 5 was the main route and a whole bunch of motels were along the segment that ran through West Springfield. Even after I-91 opened alot of truckers still used U.S. 5 for local deliveries and rest in the motels.	An unidentified Pete COE was taken at the Springfield, MA farmers market complex in 1974. That area was great for truck pictures especially Southeastern produce haulers.

Dakota Express White Freightliner I found at a Springfield, MA meat distributor's warehouse in early 1975.	Glosson Motor Lines from Lexington, NC previously was called Grubb Motor Lines then later became Glosson Freightways before finally being absorbed into Epes Transport System a number of years ago. They were a very commom sight all over the Northeast hauling furniture up from many of the manufacturers who were based in Central NC. I shot this one at a diner where U.S. 5 & I-91 intersected in West Springfield, MA in 1974.	Inland Express "Piker" from Syracuse, NY was taken in 1974 at a Quality Inn near Exit 5 of the Mass. Pike in Chicopee, MA. The tandem trailer compound was the next exit East (Exit 6), but for some reason he took the Piker into the motel parking lot. Only time I ever saw a Piker off the Mass Pike at another exit besides Exit 6 (Chicopee Falls).

This four truck lineup was taken at the Westbound Mass Turnpike (I-90) Service Plaza near Blandford, MA after you climb that long hill that gets you up into the Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts in 1974.	These two shots were taken a small truck stop on U.S. 5 & I-91 near South Deerfield, MA in 1976.

Owner/Operator owned KW COE from Georgia taken at the 49er 76 Auto Truck Stop along I-880 N. of Sacramento, CA also in Sept 1976.	Cordelia Kenworth taken at the 49er 76 Auto Truck Stop along I-880 N. of Sacramento, CA.	IDA-CAL Freight Lines from Caldwell, ID was taken at the Cordelia, CA Terminal Stations in Sept 76.

West Coast Truck Lines from Eugene, OR was taken at the Cordelia, CA Terminal Stations in June 1976. West Coast Truck Lines used all O/O's it appears and all shared the same basic orange and dark green colors, but everyone had different striping and designs.	Bekins Special Commodities taken at the 49er 76 Auto Truck Stop along I-880 N. of Sacramento, CA also in Sept 1976.	Ringsby United was taken in 1974 at Hamden Beef Co a meat distributing business in downtown Springfield, MA.

Alpha Beta GMC Astro taken in Nov. 1977 at the Muffin Treat Restaurant along I-80 in Fairfield, CA.	White Freightliner bulkers and Pete transfer dump taken in Nov. 1977 at the Muffin Treat Restaurant along I-80 in Fairfield, CA.	Mural Transport from NJ and an A.W. Hays ag hauler from Woodland, CA next to it was taken in Feb 1977 at the Terminal Stations in Cordelia, CA.

Syar Industries, Inc. Peterbilt water tanker was at a construction site near Fairfield, CA in 1976.	West Coast F model Mack belonged to a Los Angeles based fleet called Dart Transportation or something like that. The picture was taken at the Muffin Treat Restaurant in 1976.	Kenworth tanker with pull trailer was for a fuel jobber or small for hire fleet from West Sacramento, CA called Ramco. The picture was taken at the Muffin Treat Restaurant in 1976.

Kenworth conventional belonged to Ranoen, an Idaho trout or salmon hatchery farm and was taken at the Cordelia, CA Terminal Stations along I-80 in early 1976.	Allied agent I caught parked at an East Bound pull off on the Mass Pike just East of Exit 3 (Westfield) in 1974.	Red Star "Road Commander" was shot when they had a terminal next to C-F's at exit 6 of the Mass Pike in Chicopee, MA. This was 1974 vintage also.

Roadway White Road Boss was taken in 1981 or 82 at a shopping plaza along U.S. 1 on the S. side of Ft Pierce, FL.	NAVL White Road Commander was taken at my hometown Howard Johnson's by the Mass. Pike Exit 3 while home on leave from the Air Force in 1978.	Marsellus Casket Co. from Syracuse, NY was a long time user of Macks. I believe they recently went out of business after many ,many years of casket manufacturing. I took this shot in 1973 at the Valley View Diner (I think that was it's name) where U.S. 5 & I-91 met in West Springfield, MA.
